The H.U.R.T. 100 is one of the toughest 100-mile trail races anywhere, and taking place in a tropical paradise like Hawaii doesn't make it any easier. In fact, the race's slogan is "We wouldn't want it to be easy". I got to photograph part of this notoriously difficult race in January of 2017 and meet a number of these amazing athletes.
